This 80s-themed series was number one on the streaming charts for several weeks and broke a number of records along the way. However, the release of Wednesday topped even Stranger Things.
A spin-off from The Addams Family and created by Tim Burton, Wednesday was watched for over 430 million hours in the week following its Netflix release. The Korean drama Squid Game is still the most-watched show on the platform, and fans will be waiting eagerly for the second season, although no date has yet been given for the release of this season.
Amazon Prime Video Shows The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Reacher
Amazon’s service spared no expense with their Lord of the Rings series, which is set long before the events of The Hobbit took place. While online reviews of the fantasy series were mixed and the pace of the action was among the most criticized issues, it was watched by 25 million people in the first 24 hours it was made available. This was their biggest-ever premiere, although it’s hard to compare with other shows since Amazon doesn’t generally release viewing figures.
This platform has a solid selection of other shows and movies, with Reacher among them. It’s a crime drama based on a series of books of the same name, and stars Alan Ritchson as former military policeman Jack Reacher.

Peacemaker is a superhero series starring John Cena, who plays the role that he had previously played in The Suicide Squad. As for Watchmen, this is a 2009 movie based on comic book superheroes, and while it flopped at the box office, it has proved popular since moving to the streaming platform.
